Ronald F. Beyer, age 85, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Ronald was born June 6, 1936, in Merrill, son of the late William and Jessie (Fox) Beyer. Early in his working career, Ronald worked for Pagel Construction. He then spent 33 years working for Schaeffer’s Oil as a sales representative before he started his own business, Beyer Lubrication. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making maple syrup. In his earlier years, he played baseball for Krueger’s Place and Doering. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Henrich of Wausau; sons, Larry (Lori) Beyer of Alaska, Mike (Denise) Beyer of Gleason, and Pat (Laura) Beyer of Gleason; son-in-law, Sig Podgorski of Wausau; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara of Eagle River; and brother, William (Marion) Beyer of Gleason. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jessie Beyer; daughter, Nancy Podgorski; grandson, Michael Zuelsdorff; and sisters, Nettie Jirtle and Wilma Shankwitz. The Funeral Service for Ronald will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pine River. Rev. Greg Laska will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
