Nathalie June Muschinske

Nathalie June Muschinske, age 90, of Willow Brook Pointe, Stevens Point WI, formerly of the town of Pine River, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021. Nathalie, the daughter of the late John and Alma (Rusch) Franz, was born on June 13, 1931. She was raised on the family farm in the Town of Texas, Marathon County, WI, attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church with her family and affirmed her faith there. She attended Jefferson rural primary school, and graduated Wausau High School in 1949. She attended Lincoln County Teacher's College graduating in 1951. She taught at several rural schools in Marathon County while pursuing her education and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1959. On June 15, 1957, she married Walter J. Muschinske at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Pine River. Nathalie became a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, later Calvary Lutheran Church in Pine River where she was active as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, as well as a member of the church choir, and WELCA for many years. She also was active as a member and officer of the Pine River Homemaker's club, and the Lincoln County Farm Bureau. Nathalie and Walter farmed in Pine River until 1985 when they retired. They travelled around the United States and visited relatives in various locations. They also travelled to Canada on a fishing trip with friends. Nathalie enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and quilting, music, homemaking and travel. Nathalie is survived by her children Ruth Muschinske of Wausau, and Mark (Roni) Muschinske of Oak Harbor, Washington; step-grandson Tyler (Emily) Lendt of Rose Creek, Minnesota; sister Audrey (David) Steffen of Land O Lakes, sister-in-law Doris (Gerald) Schield of Stevens Point; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Muschinske in 2017, her parents John and Alma Franz, her sisters and their spouses Ruth (Walter) Gaedeke and Mildred (Earl) Plautz, two brothers-in-law and their spouses George (Mae) Muschinske and Gerald (Lorraine) Muschinske and nieces Mary Plautz and Beth Schield. The family wishes to thank Ren. Assisted Living, Inclusa, Willow Brooke Pointe and Heartland Hospice for their care of Nathalie. The funeral will be at 12 Noon December 4, 2021, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Town of Pine River, Lincoln County. Burial will take place in Calvary Church Cemetery, Town of Pine River. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 4th at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill is assisting the family.
