Mary Ann D. Weisskopf, age 88, of Merrill, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Mary Ann was born November 28, 1927, in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (Plautz) Klade. She married Ernest Weisskopf on October 25, 1952, in Merrill. He survives. Mary Ann and her husband had dairy farmed in the Town of Schley, Lincoln County. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Gleason, and taught Sunday school for many years. Mary Ann enjoyed playing cards, especially Sheephead; working on crossword puzzles; reading; spending time with children; and taking an occasional trip to the casino. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Weisskopf, Sr. of Merrill; one daughter, Diana (John) Allen of Merrill; two sons, Ernie Weisskopf and Corey (Aimee) Weisskopf both of Merrill; four grandchildren, Toby Allen (Gina VanDerGeest), Michelle (Brad) Krueger, Joe Allen (Samantha Westfall) and Logan O’Connell all of Merrill; six great-grandchildren, Brenna, Jaron, Marley, Brady, Kaylynn and Jase; three sisters, Helen (Everett) Lange of Tomahawk, Sandy Euler of Crossville, TN and Ida Schult of Merrill; four sisters-in-law, Annette Klade, Dorothy Klade, Barbara Klade and Mary Klade all of Merrill; one brother-in-law, Adolf Weisskopf of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Roger Klade, Doyle Klade, Frederick Klade, Jr., Richard Klade, Donna Brown, William Klade, Rowe Klade, Dennis Klade, Thomas Klade and infant Faye Klade; and one brother-in-law, Milton Schult. The funeral service for Mary Ann will be held at 12:00 P.M., Noon, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Pastor Greg Laska will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
