Kyle T. Zinter

Kyle T. Zinter, 60, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at his home under the care of his family and hospice services. Kyle was born December 11, 1959, in Dade, Florida, son of the late Palmer ‘Chip’ Rhem and Dolores (Smith) Rhem. When Kyle was seven years old, his father passed away. His mother eventually remarried and Kyle was raised by his mother and her husband, Don Zinter. Kyle married Sally Squires on June 11, 1999 in Merrill. She survives. Kyle worked as an independent sales man and also owned and operated Zinter Net Sales & Consignment and Grand Antiques both in Merrill. Kyle enjoyed fishing, metal detecting on land and in water, finding and selling antiques, and working on e-bay sales. Kyle is survived by his wife, Sally Zinter of Merrill; son, Tyler Zinter of Richfield, MN; daughters, Melissa Chesmore of Middleton, WI and Patricia (Jonathon) Ganske of Beaver Dam; four grandchildren, Alex Wood, Madisyn Nybroten, Brianna Ganske, and Caleb Ganske; siblings, Guy Zinter of Wentzville, MO, Wade (Diane) Zinter of Ohiopyle, PA, Gale Zinter of Appleton, and Cheryl (Mark) Casey of Tomahawk; and brother-in-law, Dr. William (Sharon) Squires of Janesville. Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, Palmer ‘Chip’ Rhem, Dolores (Smith) Metz, and Don Zinter; son, Shawn Weiss; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Ruth Squires; cousin, Craig Nolan; sisters-in-law, Nola Zinter and Barbara (George) Foster; and aunt, Jean Epstein. The funeral service for Kyle will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Hospice Chaplain Richard Rogers will officiate. Burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery, Merrill. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. SOCIAL DISTANCING PRACTICES WILL BE FOLLOWED AND MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ANYONE ATTENDING.
