Karen M. Langbecker, 59, of Wausau, WI, passed away peacefully at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on August 28, 2019. Karen was born in Merrill, WI to Harold and Alice Garves on September 26, 1959. In 1977, she graduated from DC Everest High School. On September 15, 1979, Karen married her high school sweetheart Rick Langbecker. For 35 years she was employed as an Environmental Services Aid at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, motorcycle riding, family adventures, car shows and was an avid Elvis fan and memorabilia collector. Karen was also a “self-proclaimed” photographer that had a camera ready to capture all of life’s exciting and precarious moments. Her house was always cheerfully decorated for every holiday and season. She continuously made a loving home for many pets. Karen is preceded in death by her father Harold Garves. Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years Rick Langbecker, Wausau, three wonderful children Justin (Shannon) Langbecker, Wausau, Sara Langbecker, New York, and Ashley Langbecker, Wausau, one precious grandchild Amalia Langbecker, Wausau, one sister Patricia (David) Schwede, Birnamwood, her mother Alice Garves, Wausau. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters/brothers-in-law and friends. A celebration of life will be held 1:00-4:00 PM on September 8, 2019 at the Round Barn at Willow Springs, 60th Ave Wausau, WI. Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com.
