Gregory 'Greg' Kufahl

Gregory J. ‘Greg’ Kufahl, 59, of Merrill, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Greg was born January 12, 1961, in Wausau, son of Clifford Kufahl and the late Sue (Chartier) Kufahl. Greg worked as an over the road truck driver. He recently was working for Pioneer Transportation in Merrill, and had worked for many years at B&D Motors also in Merrill. He really liked his job and enjoyed sharing stories about all his adventures. Greg loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved his dogs. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Greg liked watching football, and was a fan of the Packers and Badgers. Survivors include his children, Sara Kufahl of Merrill, Ashley (Chris) Franke of Madison, and Kyle Kufahl of Merrill; father, Clifford ‘Cliff’ Kufahl of Merrill; grandchildren, Dane Kufahl, Morah Franke, and Natalia Franke; sister, Kathy Kufahl of Merrill; brothers, Steve Kufahl (Chris Rajek), Mark Kufahl, and Dan Kufahl all of Merrill; and nieces and nephews, Makenzie Kufahl, Mylie Kufahl, Brandon Kufahl, and Aaron Kufahl. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Sue A. Kufahl; a brother, Larry Kufahl; and an infant brother, David Kufahl. The family would like to thank the nurses in the Oncology Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their compassionate care and comforting words. A visitation for Greg will be held at from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M., Noon, Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. A Memorial Luncheon will take place at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Northway Club in Merrill
