Donald L. Wallace, 85, of Merrill, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at Aspirus Merrill Hospital. Donald was born April 19, 1937, in Rib Lake, Wisconsin, son of the late Lester and Vera (Krueger) Wallace. Don enlisted in the Wisconsin National Guard and served from 1954 until 1960. Don had worked at Treat All Metals in Milwaukee and Donahue Metals in Port Washington. He eventually took a job at Allen Edmonds Shoe Manufacturing in Port Washington, Wisconsin and retired in 1999. Don enjoyed open water fishing and was an avid reader. Don also enjoyed football and baseball, namely the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Survivors include his daughters, Suzi Wallace of Menomonee Falls and Derinda ‘Rindy’ (Randy) Richards of Stoughton; sons, Scott Wallace of Random Lake and Steve Wallace of Waldo; six grandchildren, Emily Miller, Collin (Allison) Wallace, Colton Wallace, Taylor Wallace, Brandon Wallace, and Cody Wallace; two great-grandchildren, Leighton and Garrett; brothers, Dan (JoAnn) Wallace of West Bend and Bill (Peggy) Wallace of Palmyra; and several step-children. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Lina Wallace; parents, Lester and Vera Wallace; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn (Ron) Adkins; and brother, Terry Wallace.
