Darlene W. Hanneman, 74, of Merrill, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by her family. Darlene was born December 31, 1945, in Antigo, daughter of the late Reid and Geneva (Strandberg) Doering. She married Roger Hanneman on April 3, 1964, in Pine City, Minnesota. He survives. Darlene was a stay at home mom; raising her four children. Darlene enjoyed reading and knitting. She also enjoyed following the N.F.L., and especially loved the Green Bay Packers. Darlene was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Survivors include her husband, Roger Hanneman of Merrill; two daughters, Kris (Austin) Wagner of Edgar and Kathy Wendorf (David Fischer) of Menominee, Michigan; two sons, Scott (Amy) Hanneman of Gleason and Jim (Diana) Hanneman of Merrill; nine grandchildren, Steve Hein, Douglas Wagner, Crystal Allmann, Jaclyn Wendorf, Jordan Wendorf, Alysa Hanneman, Wilson Hanneman, Kyle Graveen and Bryce Graveen; three great-grandsons, Camden Hein, Jaxon Hein and Rocsen Wagner; sister, Mary Jo (Jeff) Karaba of Merrill; and several nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Reid and Geneva Doering; and her sister, Bonnie Waldburger. The memorial service for Darlene will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Matthew Bless will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Saturday at church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
