Cindy Luedtke, 66 of Merrill, Wisconsin died unexpectedly on August 4, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Cindy was born in Merrill on August 29, 1957, to the late Eugene and Shirley (Schmidt) Luedtke. She attended Wausau West High School and graduated with the class of 1975. After graduation, Cindy started a remarkable lifelong 47-year career with Ino Foods, now known as Lactalis American Group where she worked as a cheese packager.
Cindy greatly enjoyed bowling and spending time with cherished friends. Most of all, she adored her nieces and nephews. When they started having children, she enjoyed attending her great nieces’ and great nephews’ events and being their number one fan. She never missed their Christmas programs that were always her favorite.
As a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Cindy looked forward to decorating the church over the last few years for different seasons.
Survivors include her sisters, Judy Schlueter and Vickie (Tim) Bartelt; and brothers, Russell Luedtke and Brian (Marilyn) Luedtke all of Merrill. She is further survived by her God children, Nicole (Alonte) Denning of Houston, TX, Heather (Nate) Burtman of Merrill, and Jessica (Damian) Eisenhauer of Amherst, WI. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Amy Henderson of Dallas, TX, Lucas (Christy) Bartelt of Stevens Point, WI, Sean Luedtke of Vernon Hills, IL, Breann (James) Nelson of Minneapolis, MN, and Tania (Justin) Switlick of Marathon, WI; and her great nieces and great nephews, Presleigh, Ethan, and Calvin Hansen, Eli and Genevieve Burtman, Oliver and Wesley Bartelt, Luke and Jake Switlick, and Zaniyah and Zyaire Nelson
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Shirley Luedtke; her brother, Jody Luedtke; and her brother-in-law, James Schlueter.
Funeral services for Cindy will be at 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Church, Village of Maine. Rev. Donald Love will officiate. Burial will take place on Friday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Village of Maine. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
