Edward J. ‘Ed’ Brazeau, 67, of Merrill, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at his home. Ed was born December 1, 1954, in Chicago, son of the late William and Mary (Kerrigan) Brazeau. He married Florence Pempek on April 24, 1976, in Illinois. She preceded him in death on September 20, 2021. Flo and Ed had lived for several years in Illinois and in 1989 they moved to the Merrill area. Ed worked at Harley Davidson in Tomahawk for 24 years. Ed loved his family especially his granddaughter, Brinlee. He was a jack of all trades and loved hanging out in his shop and working on various projects. He enjoyed fishing, grilling out, and watching football. Ed was a Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Brazeau (Kyle Badeau) of Merrill; son, Troy Brazeau (Jessie Kalwitz) of Merrill; granddaughter, Brinlee; sister-in-law, Kathy Ennenbach of Tinley Park, Illinois; brothers-in-law, Mike Malicki of Bristol, Wisconsin, Larry (Sue) Pempek of Cedar Lake, Indiana and Lou (Barb) Pempek of Manteno, Indiana; many nieces and nephews; and several close relatives and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Flo; parents, William and Mary Brazeau; sister, Kathy Malicki; and brother-in-law, Tom Ennenbach. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Town of Merrill Town Hall, W4594 Progress Ave., Merrill. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
